Triumphant return

I have been somewhat busy over the last month or so but today I have more work to put up. Below is Ray "The Razor" Martinez. He is a bartender/bar owner by night, and during the day he tries to make time to train as an MMA fighter at Hudson Martial Arts Academy. He is 6 - 0 and local promoters find it hard to get him fights due to lack of funding in the area. He is well liked in the community and gets along very well with others but goes home feeling very alone. The story I've come up with revolves around him and a new tournament he considers entering that is financially backed by a mysterious benefactor. He reaches the last round of the tournament and strange abilities begin to manifest themselves.

A Familiar Original

This is the beginning of an original character I've been making based on myself. I have designed and redesigned him over and over again and will continue to do so until he is perfected. As for now, this is just some head shots. Even here I made a mistake. The eyes on the bottom picture should be more red in color.

Marvel vs DC: MMA style.

Live on pay per view.

Steve 'the Captain' Rogers goes toe to toe with Bruce 'the Batman' Wayne. Will it be Rogers KO power and stamina, or does Wayne have too many tools at his disposal against the combat veteran?

Gotham Nights: The Ventriloquist

Arnold Wesker is the Ventriloquist. A mob boss who has to use a puppet based on the old movie Scarface starring James Cagney and the actual gangster Al Capone. He is meek and quiet with no backbone and uses the puppet to manifest his masculine side. In other words, he has dissociative identity disorder. One of the better elements of this character (or characters) is the fact that some believe the puppet is sentient and that Wesker actually works for him. I thought a good update for him would be to remove the small and functioning tommy gun because those don't really exist. I also used the Brian DePalma Scarface which is a remake of the original movie, so the puppet is modeled after Tony Montana, instead of the puppet having a gun, you can see that the gun is actually in the puppets head, and sticks out of its mouth when its time to shoot. Playing the role of Wesker would be John Lithgow for several reasons. First, he's one of the best actors of all time. Second, his role as the Trinity Killer on Dexter was one of the best things to ever be put on television, and this character shares more than a few similarities to the Ventriloquist. Thirdly, John Lithgow looks exactly like Arnold Wesker.

Gotham Nights: Season 3: Deadshot

For my dramatic interpretation of Floyd Lawton, I would take a lot of of the comics elements into consideration, mostly due to his character being one of the more realistic villains in the Batman lore. What is he? A good shot. Nothing more than a sharpshooter, something that can be accomplished, and has been accomplished by many a Navy Seal. The difference is in his origin and his motives. In his failed attempt to shoot his abusive father to stop him from hurting his beloved older brother, the branch he was sitting on cracked, and he missed, killing his brother in the process. This has shaped everything he is and why he never misses. The costume is more simplified than in the comic because it can be very much acquired in the real world, guards and padding for his knees and shins, boots, gloves, an athletic tight shirt and the costume is done. What sells him is the custom mask. The trademark eye piece. The guns. I was never a fan of the wrist guns, I always preferred Deadshot to hold them. In this case I thought he would be a bit louder fashion-wise, so I opted for Desert Eagles as magnums not only do death dealing damage, but also fire a loud bang. The gold plating on them adds a hint of expensive taste, and since Deadshot is all about money I thought it would work in the design. The scope and laser pointer obviously aid him in using such a powerful handgun, especially if he is using one hand for each, which is not recommended for Desert Eagles.

Season 2: Harley

Growing up on the Bruce Timm and Paul Dini animated Batman series gave me two things. One is a smug disposition towards any and all cartoons made after Justice League. The second is a love for a character born in the series, but taken out and transitioned to multimedia Batman history. Harley Quinn was of course ironically named Dr. Harleen Quinzel which of course, is not a real name. Regardless her madness manifested when she was treating the Joker in Arkham Asylum. Since then she's been in video games, other cartoons, the comics, and even the terrible and short lived Birds of Prey tv show. I thought she would have looked great on the big screen though, or the small screen again in my Gotham Nights TV show concept.

Edward Nigma: Private Investigator

I had another idea for a TV show. This one takes place between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. It would barely feature Batman and when it did he would never say anything. It would just be about knowing he\'s there. It would almost be like a buddy cop drama set in Gotham. It would be an excuse to Nolanize more characters without making more movies. I know they were interested in having the Riddler played by Leo DiCaprio. They opted for Bane instead. I used that as inspiration for the face. The rest of the design is based on the later comics stories where the Riddler goes legit and competes with Batman in terms of who can be a better detective. My idea for a Gotham Nights TV show season one would involve the Riddler losing his business as an investigator because of Batman, driving him to exercise his genius and penchant for puzzles to create crimes he believes only he could solve. I would imagine Michael Pitt from Boardwalk Empire would be. Suitable replacement for DiCaprio and I think the old timey pants hiked up brings out the sort of OCD like qualities that old fashioned people tend to exhibit, and OCD is an affliction Riddler is said to have in many stories.
